Hey loves! I’ve missed you! It feels like my last semester of college was off to a relaxing start, and all of a sudden, I am running out of ink writing down “to-do’s” in my planner. It looks like April may have a few all-nighters! I’m trying not to complain too much, though, because I have been a little bummed about graduating. I just keep reminding myself that my life isn’t over after I graduate college—it’s just a new chapter for more fabulous adventures! I’m making the last of my campus looks count, like wearing this neon pink top, paired with vegan leather shorts and over-the-knee boots. I know this look doesn’t scream spring (nor does the snow in the background—took these pics a while ago), but it’s perfect for transitioning into warmer weather! The blouse is super lightweight, while the shorts can keep you cool. So yes, I haven’t been so busy that I haven’t experienced the spring weather, but I am telling you, this outfit is perfect for the Pennsylvania weather that can’t make up it’s mind! A few things are for sure; winter doesn’t last forever and college has to come to an end, but I can guarantee you one thing will never change, and that’s me wearing neon for eons!

Blue might be my favorite color, but pink is my power color! Anyone who visits the chic chateau gets hit with pink as soon as they walk through the door because it really lifts my mood! Naturally, I had to have this top as it stood out among all the drab colors, and I also found out it was from the Cara Santana X Apt.9 collaboration. If you don’t remember from last summer, Cara and I are basically BFFs (we DM each other, so it definitely counts)! Anyway, Cara let me help her out with her independent launch, so I am forever Team Cara! I knew I was buying this top regardless of the designer because I still can’t get over this shocking pink. The silhouette feels a bit proper with the high neckline and fuller sleeves, creating a fun contrast with the neon hue. To be honest, mock necks aren’t my favorite because I feel a little constricted, but they look really chic, so I am willing to make the sacrifice!

Winter 2021 may have made me a little rough around the edges because I got tatted and also started a vegan leather collection—I’m so edgy, right (haha)?! These shorts were a great addition that I find myself reaching for all the time! Leather shorts have been so trendy, but I like to consider them a classic. They’re neutral and stylish, meaning they go with everything and are definitely a wardrobe essential. The perfect complement to a bold top, they also demand attention for all the right reasons. I love the paper bag waistline and the belt detail that accentuates the smallest part of the body, for a flattering feel. Plus, they are the perfect length to show some leg, but they still keep you covered. What more could you ask for in a chic short? Obsessed!

Over-the-knee boots are pretty self-explanatory and have made numerous appearances on the blog, so I will try not to bore you with too many details! I love wearing these because they are practical to keep your legs warm, and adorable as well! Because I was showing a lot of skin on the bottom and was covered up on top, it only made sense to balance out the look with a tall boot. Otherwise, I could look a little seasonly confused (even though I kinda am right now with snow one day and 70 degrees the next)! Block heels are a girl’s best friend— in addition to cats, Chanel, and diamonds—so, I love the added height with added comfort! If these aren’t for you, you can opt for darker, opaque tights to pair with a stiletto or short bootie. Or maybe you want to embody street style and try a Doc Martin…you don’t always have to take a walk in my shoes!

I don’t know if you noticed, but I have been trying not to be so long-winded in my posts for a few reasons; First, I have been super busy, as I love to talk about, so I don’t have as much time to dedicate to my long fashion spiels. Second, I often like to ramble, though sometimes it’s better to just get to the point. And lastly, I know you guys have a life too, and I want to make the blog as inviting as possible! I know I get uninterested in anything if I see too many words! On another note, call me crazy, but I have been kicking around wanting to write a book, even though that has lots of words! As college dies down, I’m working on my next move, and I really want to see where my love of fashion and writing will take me. Just out of curiosity, would you guys read my book if I wrote one? I realize that’s a vague question because I don’t even know what it would be about yet myself, but probably related to fashion! I can tell I am already getting ahead of things right now, so I am just going to take one day at a time, one cute outfit at a time! If you want to live by this motto, then comb those closets for gnarly neon and luxe leather for a bold ensemble. But, if you haven’t reached for your neon in eons, then replenish with my links below! Happy Closet Combing!
